Read Dinosaur Roar!

Dinosaur Roar! has been used by teachers in classrooms all over the world. Kids love dinosaurs and that makes them a great medium for learning. Paul Stickland's colourful dinosaurs and simple rhyming text full of opposites make it a gift for teachers keen to engage their classes in a subject where all kids are experts!

I had great fun creating the dinosaurs for the book and I hope it shows. I loved dinosaurs when I was a child and so illustrating the book was a joy.
I have had great fun working with the Dinosaur Roar Dinosaurs with kids in schools, libraries and festivals all over the UK and US over the last 20 years. Kids have a natural empathy for these prehistoric monsters and are always full of opinions, awe and ideas about these monsters from the distant past. Something about Dinosaur Roar clearly hit a nerve with all those kids and it has become one of the bestselling children's dinosaur books ever.

So I am really pleased that the talented team at Nurture Rights, Peter Curtis and Nick Barrington, are in charge of the next chapter in Dinosaur Roar's destiny. I have known them for many years and I couldn't think of a better team to be in charge. Nick and Peter 'get' Dinosaur Roar and in their capable hands yet more generations of children will get to enjoy the fun and learning that comes with Dinosaur Roar!

So here is the latest press release from Nick and Peter at Nurture Rights!

NURTURE RIGHTS AND NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM TEAM UP FOR DINOSAUR ROAR!

Nurture Rights and the Natural History Museum sign exclusive deal to develop literary classic into a major interactive dinosaur property for pre-schoolers
London, September 2013: Nurture Rights, the new kids entertainment company set up by Peter Curtis and Nick Barrington, has today signed a deal with the Natural History Museum to develop and market its pre-‐school property, ‘Dinosaur Roar!’.
The 10 year deal sees Nurture working with the palaeontology team at the Natural History Museum to create an authentic dinosaur property for the under 6s with interactive and engaging content for young dinosaur enthusiasts. This will include an online world for pre-‐school dinosaur fans, a touring dinosaur exhibition specifically for the age group as well as an IMAX experience.
An innovative and high quality licensing programme is being put together to support this extensive activity. Under the terms of the deal, all ‘Dinosaur Roar!’ products will be co branded in association with the Natural History Museum. The retail launch of ‘Dinosaur Roar!’ will coincide with the property’s 20th anniversary next year.
Nurture will also be collaborating with the Natural History Museum’s international team to deliver the global roll out of ‘Dinosaur Roar!’ which has been published in more than 30 languages.
Peter Curtis, Director of Nurture Rights said “We are thrilled to be working with the Natural History Museum on ‘Dinosaur Roar!’. This much loved institution has an unparalleled global reputation and is the perfect partner to help us engage the younger age group in the fascinating world of dinosaurs.”
Louise Emerson, Head of Business and Commercial Strategy at the Natural History Museum added 'We are excited to be working on this new project for preschoolers. The original 'Dinosaur Roar!’ picture book has been a firm favourite with young visitors. This ground breaking new activity will introduce younger children to these amazing creatures."

Nurture is now looking to build a team of strong licensees to launch products to coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the book next year. The ‘Dinosaur Roar!’ licensing programme will run separately to the museum’s existing licensing business and will specifically target pre-‐school.
