Dinosaur Roar! has become something of a pre-school children's literary classic in the last 20 years. For many children it has been their introduction to the fascinating world of dinosaurs. It has sold in millions all around the planet, been translated into many different languages and in many editions. I am very happy to be able to share the latest good news about Dinosaur Roar, Nurture Rights and The Natural History Museum in London!
Read Dinosaur Roar!
Dinosaur Roar! has been used by teachers in classrooms all over the world. Kids love dinosaurs and that makes them a great medium for learning. Paul Stickland's colourful dinosaurs and simple rhyming text full of opposites make it a gift for teachers keen to engage their classes in a subject where all kids are experts!
I had great fun creating the dinosaurs for the book and I hope it shows. I loved dinosaurs when I was a child and so illustrating the book was a joy.
I have had great fun working with the Dinosaur Roar Dinosaurs with kids in schools, libraries and festivals all over the UK and US over the last 20 years. Kids have a natural empathy for these prehistoric monsters and are always full of opinions, awe and ideas about these monsters from the distant past. Something about Dinosaur Roar clearly hit a nerve with all those kids and it has become one of the bestselling children's dinosaur books ever.
So I am really pleased that the talented team at Nurture Rights, Peter Curtis and Nick Barrington, are in charge of the next chapter in Dinosaur Roar's destiny. I have known them for many years and I couldn't think of a better team to be in charge. Nick and Peter 'get' Dinosaur Roar and in their capable hands yet more generations of children will get to enjoy the fun and learning that comes with Dinosaur Roar!
So here is the latest press release from Nick and Peter at Nurture Rights!
