Every single illustration from the best selling children's dinosaur book, Dinosaur Roar! Based on my full colour dinosaur illustrations, these black and white line drawings are ready to colour or paint. Create your own version of DinosaurRoar!
If you want to have a Dinosaur Roar event in your bookshop or bookstore, download and print out these dinosaur colouring pages.
Great for teachers in schools or nurseries for kid's dinosaur art and craft activities and especially for a dinosaur themed week at school or nursery. Dinosaurs always figure large on the school curriculum, so these can form the basis of some interesting dinosaur based crafts. These free dinosaur printables from this favorite children's dinosaur book will add to any dinosaur craft activities in the classroom in schools or at kid's dinosaur events in libraries.
But I know as well as anyone else that drawing and colouring in dinosaurs is a great rainy day activity.
I would encourage them to choose their own colours and add some background details. Maybe some trees and rocks, some bones and puddles, perhaps a giant smoking volcano!

Click on any of these black and white dinosaur pictures to visit DinosaurRoar.com where you can download the whole roaring set of Dinosaur Roar Coloring Pages.

Some tips on how to share these pages with your children after the fold...

If you want to see my original colour illustrations for the book you can find them on the Dinosaur Roar! page on my website. That might give you some ideas for how to color a dinosaur.
I like to use fun, bright colours but it's worth encouraging your children to try out their own ideas. They won't have a shortage of them! Try making a spotty dinosaur, a stripey dinosaur, a zig zag dinosaur or even an Elmer Patchwork dinosaur!
Try adding some backgrounds, a tree, a forest, some bugs and there has to be a smoking volcano somewhere!

I use watercolour ink to colour in my illustrations. Try usings felt pens, coloured pencils, wax crayons, paint or ink.  Add glitter, pom-poms or feathers!

At my Dinosaur Drawing Workshops I encourage the children to use their imaginations as much as possible, I've seen scary dinosaurs, hairy dinosaurs, spiky dinosaurs and feathered dinosaurs. I've seen dinosaur dogs and dinosaur cats, dinosaur dads and dinosaur mums!
After they've had fun colouring in all these dinosaurs, encourage them to draw their own dinosaurs. The best way to do that is for you to draw one! Don't be shy about making them look 'real', the best drawings are often the unexpected ones where you have made a 'mistake'.
One good way to draw a funny dinosaur, is to imagine, say, the fiercest dinosaur, or the silliest dinosaur, the tiniest dinosaur, or one so big, you can only see his fearsome feet and claws. Try to imagine what the dinosaur is eating, or what he is about to squash, or who he is roaring at. If the children see you having fun and giggling at your mistakes, they won't feel shy about creating their own dinosaurs!

Have fun, make mistakes and experiment!
